Edgyx
Editorial method
How blog articles are written, where the figures published on the site come from, and what is checked before publication.

Who publishes
Blog articles are published under the Edgyx Editorial Team byline by EDGYX SAS, in Paris. One article a day on real market news: currencies, indices, gold and commodities, with a practical angle for traders.
Sources
Each article draws on news from the last 24 to 72 hours: news agencies, central banks, statistics institutes. The sources consulted are cited under each article, with a link to the original page. The original source is preferred over a site that republishes a wire story, and each republication cited lowers the article's check score. A broker is never a source.
Our own data
The economic calendar gives the Paris time, the forecast, the previous figure and the released figure of each announcement. Edgyx Impact measurements describe what the market did in the 15 minutes after each past release, on one-minute candles, with the number of measured releases shown next to each figure.
Checks before publication
Every figure in an article — percentage, decimal, number from 100 up, amount, the year of a record ("highest since…") — must be found in a cited source or in our data. A second reading then checks that the passage carrying it says the same thing: same indicator, same period, same direction. A figure that cannot be found, or is out of context, is rephrased or removed; if no source can be read, only figures from our own data are kept. Calendar figures are taken from our database, unchanged. The French and English versions carry exactly the same figures. Advice and firm predictions are left out; a forecast is reported only when attributed to its source. Each article gets a check score; below a threshold, it is flagged for review. These checks are automated: they reduce the risk of error without removing it, which is why you can report one to us.
What our articles are not
Neither investment advice nor a buy or sell signal. Our measurements describe past releases and do not predict the next ones. No links to brokers, no payment tied to an article.
Report an error
Found an error in an article or a figure? Write to contact@edgyx.ai with the page concerned. The article is corrected and its update date changed.
